The unicorn is Scotland's national animal because it is magical and so is Scotland. Most of them live in Glen McDooey in the Highlands and that is where the Clan McDooey take care of them. The Chief of the Clan, also called Glen McDooey is the only person allowed to collect unicorn horns and most are sent to Santa Claus at the North Pole but he always keeps a few for special girls and boys. The young unicorns shed them in Autumn so they can grow bigger ones in the New Year. The Chief is almost a hundred years old but he still goes to the slopes of Ben McDooey every day, that being Scotland's second-highest mountain. Some days he doesn't find any and on a really good day, he might find three or four. When he returns to the cottage. Mrs.McDooey gives him a huge bowl of haggis broth and after that he washes and polishes the horns. Mrs. McDooey then puts them in cardboard tubes so they can be sent from the post office in the village. Glen McDooey is the happiest place in the whole of Scotland and if you ever go there, you will be very welcome and you may even see unicorns grazing in the distance, for they are very shy. Now it has to be said that these lovely horns are not plastic, which is very bad for the planet, nor is there glitter on them as that is a dangerous thing. They are natural and FOUND in Scotland.
